This week showed how quickly the rate picture can change.

Several reports pointed to slower hiring early in the week. Then Friday brought a much stronger jobs report, pushing mortgage rates higher and changing expectations for what the Fed may do next.

The story isn't finished. Next week's inflation report could move rates again.

If buying is on your radar, focus on what you can control: Keep your pre-approval current, know the payment range that works for you, and be ready to act if a better rate window opens or the right home appears.

Reach out, and we'll walk through your numbers together.
